At Rachelle’s I offer a wide variety of flavours and fillings.
All of my cakes freshly baked to order the week of your event.
As the taste of your cake is just as important as the design, cake tasting is available when you visit for a consultation. I want to ensure that your cake tastes as beautiful as it looks. I will happily advise on the best combinations to suit and always use the best ingredients possible.

CLASSIC VANILLA SPONGE
A moist and light vanilla infused cake layered with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam.
BUTTERY VANILLA MADEIRA
A luscious and buttery cake with a denser crumb, layered with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam.
CLASSIC CHOCOLATE SPONGE
A moist and light sponge perfect for smaller celebrations, layered with a lightly whipped chocolate buttercream.
RICH CHOCOLATE MUD CAKE
This one is for chocolate lovers. Dense and decadent this cake is moist, rich and layered with a smooth ganache buttercream. Also delicious with orange, cherry, raspberry, coffee or salted caramel.
CLASSIC LEMON SPONGE
A lighter lemon sponge made with lemon zest and layered with vanilla buttercream and a smooth lemon curd.
A rich buttery lemon cake filled with the zest and juice of lots of lemons. Layered with vanilla buttercream and a smooth lemon curd.
Moist and a little bit fruity. Made with carrots, walnuts, coconut and sultanas with a hint of cinnamon. A delicious alternative to fruitcake, layered with an orange buttercream.
RASPBERRY & ALMOND
A buttery madeira sponge containing ground almonds with an almond buttercream and raspberry or cherry jam. A nice twist on a Bakewell tart.
BANANA & WALNUT
Full of bananas and bits of walnut. A sprinkle of cinnamon really compliments this cake. Try it with a layer of salted caramel and a cinnamon buttercream.
COFFEE & WALNUT
A classic combination of espresso coffee flavoured cake and chopped walnuts layered with a lightly whipped espresso buttercream.
My favourite hot drink in a cake. Mix coffee cake with a rich chocolate filling, or chocolate with an espresso filling, either way it’s delicious.
TRADITIONAL FRUIT CAKE
Not just for Christmas, if you are looking for a delicious cake full of tradition my fruitcake packs a punch. It’s crammed with fruits and nuts, the zest of oranges and lemons and soaked in French brandy. All cakes are aged for at least 6-8 weeks.
There are many amazing fillings, flavourings and preserves that can be added to your cake to create your favourite combination. For example, rose water, elderflower, orange, cardamom, stem ginger etc. If you don’t see what you are looking for on the list please just ask!
Whilst I am happy to cater for certain dietary requirements such as gluten free or eggless cakes, I do not cater for severe or nut allergies due to health and safety risks. Please enquire if your cake needs adapting in any way and I will be happy to advise.
All of my cakes are bespoke and handmade to order using fantastic ingredients and an exquisite attention to detail.
